We are looking for a strong outside Sales Account Executive to join our highly successful sales team. This position is responsible for the prospecting, sale and management of clients in the Mountain States -The main function of this role is to develop new business, as well as develop long term integrated partnerships with current and new customers.
You MUST HAVE some prior sales experience selling logistics & supply chain solutions- air, ground, expedited, parcel, courier, and/or freight, etc. in order to be considered.
This position serves as the primary point of contact for the client portfolio, ensures customer’s needs are addressed in a timely fashion and that consistent contact is maintained on a regular schedule.
Uncover new sales opportunities and increase customer base.
Sell additional services to existing E level customer base, develop contacts and build relationships with these customer decision-makers.
Position service capabilities to customers in the account base, qualify and propose new services and negotiating rate increases.
Assess and analyze customer’s shipping needs and offer services and rates to gain additional business.
Create and implement market analysis to identify new business opportunities and increase market share through lead referrals.
Increase company presence within the local market through industry organization participation and special event venues.
Carry out other duties as appropriate and as assigned by his/her Manager.
4+ years of industrial or commercial outsidesales experience (or equivalent)
2+ years successful supply chain solution, small parcel and/or freight forwarding sales experience
Logistics industry experience
Proven record of expanding sales region and successful account management skills
Track record of meeting and/or exceeding professional or personal goals
Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:
